Messages From Our Presidents
On behalf of H.O.M.E. International, I would like to welcome you to our website. In 2005, my wife and I visited Guatemala for the first time to meet our new daughter, Bryce. Seeing the poverty and political unrest in that country tugged at our hearts. While in the process of adopting our second daughter, Sofia, from Guatemala, we felt burdened for the children left behind. Since that time, Guatemalan adoptions have been shut down to American citizens making the need for orphanages much greater. According to UNICEF, there are now over 368,000 orphans and street children living in Guatemala. Since that initial trip to Guatemala, I have traveled to many other third world countries and have been met with the same plights; poverty, street children, orphans, and a lack of community support. With heavy hearts, my wife and I knew we had to do something.
H.O.M.E. International started as a vehicle to provide resources and comfort for the orphaned children of the world. Our first project is building a campus that will ultimately house 100 children near Guatemala City. You can partner with us to make H.O.M.E. a reality!
Please find it in your heart to give to the children of Guatemala. You are their only hope.

What an honor to be the President of H.O.M.E. International Guatemala. As a missionary to this country for many years, I have personally seen the great need for a safe place for children without anyone to care for them.
This project is very dear to my heart, since I too came from an orphanage in Canada. I always knew that my parents went the “store” and picked me out. They took me home, loved me and raised me. I was so blessed. Now it is my turn to share that same love with the many hopeless, abandoned children of Guatemala.
